She born on September 16, 1945, in Concord, North Carolina, to Richard Merle and Edith Odell (Parker) Gillespie.
Patricia had a deep passion for dogs and found great joy in showing them. Her dedication and love for her Papillon led to multiple show victories, a testament to her commitment and enthusiasm for the hobby she cherished.
On February 9, 2009, Patricia married Richard Allen Welzenbach. Though their time together was brief due to his passing on May 5, 2009, their bond was profound. Patricia was also preceded in death by her son Michael Peters and her parents.
She is survived by her grandson Keegan Peters, nephew Chris Wiles, and dear friend Margot Kuelle. Patricia’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
In accordance with her wishes, Patricia will be interred alongside her late husband at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen during a private ceremony at a later date.
