Patsy Garrison Hudgens

Patsy Garrison Hudgens, 76, of Salado died Tuesday August 12, 2008 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday August 15, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Salado with Dr. Leroy Kemp officiating. Burial will follow in Salado Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple. Mrs. Hudgens was born February 24, 1932 in Paris, Texas to Hugh Albert and Opal Vinson Garrison. She was a graduate of Bay City High School and had attended Wharton County College. She married James H. Hudgens, Jr. January 25, 1952 in Freeport, Texas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Salado and the Joy Sunday School Class. Survivors include her husband, James H. Hudgens of Salado; three daughters, Jamie Renee Fisher of Lake Jackson, Pamela Roxanne Sutherland of Dallas, and Patti Lynn Higginbotham of Plano; one son, Michael Hudgens of Salado; two sisters, Shirley Kennedy of Spring, TX and Sammie Scarborough of Needville, TX; four brothers, Tom Garrison of Katy, TX, Roy Garrison of Needville, TX, Albert Garrison of Wadsworth, TX, and Doug Garrison of Bay City, TX; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Barrow. Pallbearers will be Michael Hudgens, Kevin Higginbotham, Morgan Sutherland, James Michael Fisher, Christian Fisher, and Joshua Higginbotham.
