Patsy Miller McCoy

Patsy Ruth Miller McCoy, age 81 passed away peacefully Saturday July 12, 2014 in Temple. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Tuesday July 15 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple. Burial will be at a later date at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. Visitation is Monday 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Ms. McCoy was born October 13, 1932 in Menlow, Texas to Tom Miller and Alta Archer. Patsy attended schools in Abbot, Texas and graduated from Abbot High School. On August 26, 1955, Patsy married William "Bill" McCoy in West, Texas. After high school Patsy attended and graduated nursing school in Waco, Texas and worked many years as an LVN. She later retired from Temple Independent School District. Pasty was a member of First Baptist Church in Temple where she served in many capacities. She enjoyed cooking, reading and spending time with friends and family in her home where all were always welcome. Her greatest love was children, especially her 7 grandchildren. Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Bill McCoy, a brother, Stanley Miller and two sisters, Sarah Bell and Mary Jane Little. Survivors include two daughters, Becky Higgins and Husband Jim of Brentwood, California and Brenda Przybylski and husband Jody of Temple. Grandchildren Amanda Solarski, Jake Solarski, Hillary Brumfield, Kaleb Brumfield, Keaton Przybylski, Mallory Przybylski and Harris Przybylski.
