

Patsy Kinslow Witt, 91, of Temple died Monday August 24, 2009 in a local nursing home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday at Post Oak Cemetery in Oglesby with Dr. Jack Riley officiating. Patsy was born on November 9, 1917 near Oglesby, Texas. She was the youngest of five children born to Samuel T. and Bertie Alice Reid Kinslow. Patsy married W. C. (Bill) Witt in Oglesby in 1941, and they lived in Belton and Winters before moving to Ballinger in 1950. Bill managed Foxworth-Galbraith Lumber Yard and Patsy was bookkeeper there before their retirement in 1982. Patsy was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter, Martha Simpson. She is survived by two sons, Gerald and wife Linda of Temple and Paul and wife Nancy of Fort Worth; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Patsy was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ballinger, Texas, where she served as a kindergarten teacher for 13 years and later as president of the United Methodist Women for six years. She was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class, serving as president for five years. She moved to Temple in 2006 to be close to family.
