Pedro Salazar, Jr.

Mass of Christian Burial for Pedro Salazar, Jr., 71, of Temple will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Tom Chamberlain officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Mr. Salazar died Sunday at his residence. Mr. Salazar was born in Temple to Pedro Salazar, Sr. and Petra Martinez Salazar. He married Emilia Martinez. She preceded him in death September 22, 2012. He lived in Temple his entire life and worked for the City of Temple Water Department for forty one years. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mr. Salazar was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters Margarita Chairez, Catalina Resendez, Carmen Flores, Micaela Salazar, Canuto Salazar, Guillermo Salazar and Jaquin Salazar. Survivors include three daughters Wilma Ramirez, Maria Lisa Millican, and Amanda Salazar all of Temple; one sister Evarista Salazar of Temple; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
