Peggy Cipriani

Peggy J. Cipriani, age 94, of Temple, Texas passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 in a Belton center. She was born on May 23, 1927 in Springer, Oklahoma the daughter of William “W.C.” and Lue (Payne) Burch.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 27, 2021 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home 3110 Airport Rd. Temple, Texas 76504.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 10:00am at Western Hills Church of Christ 210 N. General Bruce Dr. Temple, Texas 76504.

On May 4, 1949 in Ardmore, Oklahoma she married Donato “Dan” Cipriani.

Peggy was a member of Western Hills Church of Christ in Temple where she volunteered in assisting many in need, helped in their Visitation Program and helped in the nursery. She was church secretary while in Midland for the Golf Course Church of Christ where she also taught kindergarten. While in Midland she also worked as a secretary in several other organizations prior to moving to Temple. Peggy enjoyed nothing more than helping others, loved traveling and camping with her husband Dan having visited 32 countries and 46 states, and was an avid and excellent cook.

Peggy is survived by her husband Donato “Dan” Cipriani of Temple, sons, Don Cipriani and wife Nina Cipriani of Abingdon, Virginia, Dr. Glen Cipriani and wife Dr. Cheryl Cipriani of Harker Heights, Texas, and Erin Cipriani and wife Vilma Cipriani of Spring Branch, Texas, 7 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Linda Cipriani, her parents, 5 brothers, and 5 sisters.
