

Percy M. Mrosko, 91, of Temple died Thursday at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 25, 2013 at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Dr. Don Lynn officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Mr. Mrosko was born April 4, 1922 in Rockdale, Texas to Ben and Martha Wagner Mrosko. He was a graduated of Rockdale High School in 1941. He served 33 months in the U.S. Army during World War II with the 36th Division in the European Campaign. Percy married Doris Mae Kubricht on July 23, 1951 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wallis, Texas. He retired from Boise Cascade Lumber Company in 1985 having been in the lumber business for 50 years and worked for the following companies, Barnes Jones Lumber Company, J.W. Marrs Lumber Company, Bruce Campbell & Son Lumber Company, Foxworth Galbraith, Lengefeld Lumber Company and Boise Cascade Lumber Company. He was a member of First Christian Church of Temple where he served as a deacon and had been a resident of Temple for 58 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Martha Wagner Mrosko and his sisters Alice Dunn and Mildred Boehm. Survivors include his wife Doris Mae Kubricht Mrosko of Temple; daughter, Linda Suzanne Mrosko of Cedar Creek Lake, Texas. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
