Rafael Reyes, Jr.

Rafael Reyes, Jr., 82, of Cerritos, California died Friday July 27, 2007 in California. Graveside service with military honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 6, 2007 at Bellwood Memorial Park with Chaplain Michael Albano officiating. Visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. Sunday, August 5, 2007 at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Mr. Reyes was born April 16, 1925 in San Juan, Puerto Rico to Rafael and Maria Castelano Reyes Sr. Mr. Reyes served in the United States Army for over 20 years. He served in World War II having fought in the Battle of the Bulge and also served in Korea. He was a life member of the Disable American Veterans organization and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in California. Survivors include his wife Isabel Reyes of Cerritos, California; two daughters, Sandra Catlett of Pahrump, Nevada and Laura Long of Temple, Tx; two sons, Ricky Reyes of LaPuente, California and Rusty Reyes of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho; five grandchildren; one niece.
