
Richard C. Fredrickson, 83, of Temple died Friday, March 1, 2013 in a local hospital. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013 in the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary DeSalvo officiating. Burial will be private. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 10, 1929, the son of the late Paul and Seena Fredrickson. He was united in marriage to Caryl Hanson in Manistee, Michigan on August 30, 1952. He was preceded in death by a son, Richie. Dick retired from the insurance business but continued working in various capacities until a few years ago. He served in the Army CIC during the Korean War. He attended the Temple Bible Church. He is survived by his wife, Caryl; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and John Wheeler of Magnolia, TX and Dawn and Kirby Hitt of Temple; two brothers, Paul (Jean) Fredrickson of Willowbrook, Illinois and Robert (Barbara) Fredrickson of Jacksonville, Florida; seven grandchildren, Becky, Caryn and Jenna Wheeler, Lindsay (Allen) Rosenbaum, Tyler (Shannon) Hitt, Brooks and Paige Hitt; five great-grandchildren, Virginia, Reese, Finley, and Brody Rosenbaum, and Brayden Hitt; also many nieces and nephews.
