Richard A. Welzenbach, 80, of Temple died Thursday in a Temple Hospital. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday May 27, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery 11463 St. Hwy 95 in Killeen. Mr. Welzenbach was born May 28, 1928 in Wolf Point, Montana to Karl Welzenback and Verna Cole Welzenbach. He served in the U.S. Army. He married Patricia Peters February 9, 2009. He was an Engineer for A T & T. He was a member of the American Legion and Telephone Pioneers. He moved to Temple two years ago from Florida. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law Edith Broughton. Survivors include his wife Patricia Welzenbach of Temple; six children and several grandchildren; one stepson Michael Peters,his wife Lori and granddaughter Brianna of Virginia Beach, Va. Scanio Harper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
