Richard Lee Wilson

Funeral services for Richard Lee Wilson, also known as "Big Foot" and "Little John", 59, of Jarrell, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Ernest Thompson officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 P.M. in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas. Mr. Wilson died Monday at his residence. Mr. Wilson was born August 30, 1953 in Lampasas to John T. Wilson and Juanita Everett Wilson. He lived in Temple most of his life before moving to Jarrell 7 years ago. He graduated from Temple High School in 1971 and attended Temple College. He was a Boy Scout. He worked as a DJ at the Hospitality Inn for his father Big John Wilson, worked for Duplex Products and Santa Fe Railroad and was currently a truck driver for J.B. Hunt. Survivors include his son Dwight Wilson of Temple; his daughter Carrie Wilson of Jarrell; two sisters Kathy Hill and Genie Frei both of Temple and two grandchildren Nicolas Carrington Parker and Thomas Colt Anthony Meyer. Visitation will be from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Wednesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
