Robert Bob' Stehle, age 70 of Temple, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at a local hospital. Services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Grace Community Primitive Baptist Church, 3111 N. 3rd Street, Temple, Texas with Elder Jeff Harris officiating. Mr. Stehle was born on December 29, 1941 in National City, California to the late Alton August Stehle and Eunice Rotan Stehle. He graduated from Midland High School in 1960 and Sul Ross State University. He also received a Masters of Math degree from West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas. Bob served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged from the Navy after 6 years of service. He worked for Gulf Oil/Chevron as an accountant in Midland, TX, Concord, CA and Santa Cruz, Bolivia and retired after over 20 years of service. Bob was an avid fan of the Baylor Lady Bears. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Flora Whittle. Survivors include a sister, Belva Barrington of Belton; and two brothers, Gayland Stehle of Houston and Glenn Stehle of Queretaro, Mexico.
