Robert (Bobby) Barron

Robert (Bobby) Barron, age 53, formerly of Lubbock and Cottage Grove, Oregon died Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at his sister's residence in Temple. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 10, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Temple with Rev. Tom Chamberlain as celebrant. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Friday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Mr. Barron was born August 22, 1954 in Lubbock to Harry and Visenta (Flores) Barron. He was a graduate of Coronado High School in Lubbock in 1973 and attended South Plains College in Levelland and Lubbock School of Vocational Nursing. He had been a Certified Nurse Assistant for over 25 years. His present employer was Middlefield Oaks Assisted Living Center in Cottage Grove, Oregon. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Billy Jack Barron. Survivors include a brother, Harry Barron, Jr. and wife, Blanca of Balmorhea, sister, Sylvia Barron of Temple and his twin sister, Becky Hernandez and husband, Rick of Temple. Also surviving are 12 nieces and nephews and 25 great-nieces and great-nephews. Pallbearers are Harry Barron, III of Balmorhea, Mario Ramirez of Abilene, Aron Pena, Jr. of Temple, Eddie Perez of Lubbock, Joe Ramirez of Abilene and Noe Barron, Jr. of Kingwood. Honorary pallbearers are Rajendra Patel of Cottage Grove, Oregon, Tom O'Rourke and David Gillmet both of Eugene, Oregon and Jason Tomberlin of Cottage Grove, Oregon.
