He was born in Belton, Texas, on June 29, 1946. He married the love of his life, Cindy, on August 17, 1968. They were married for 58 years.
Bob joined the Army in 1966 and served his country in Vietnam.
Bob was a rodeo clown for many years and passed his love and knowledge of rodeo on to his children, grandchildren, and numerous others over the years.
Bob was also affectionately known as "The Shoe Man" by an entire community, having owned and operated a boot and shoe repair business for more than 50 years, where he not only repaired boots but crafted many pairs of chaps for the rodeo community.
Bob's love of the Texas Rangers never wavered. He was a staunch supporter through the wins and the losses. Watching them win the World Series was a lifelong dream come true for him.
Bob loved his wife, Cindy, so thoroughly that it showed in everything he did, from the flowers he sent to the phone calls just to check on her throughout the day and all the tiny gestures along the way. There was never any doubt about how much he loved her.
Bob's children were the pride of his life. He attended every school event, every rodeo, and countless life events. He imparted his knowledge, his love, his belief in family, and his strong work ethic to them both. They never knew a day that he did not show his love for them.
Bob's grandchildren affectionately called him "Bobem," and he always made sure they knew how much he loved them, always asking how their lives were going, passing on knowledge, and making sure they knew they should always follow their dreams, no matter how big or small.
Bob's love for his family was unconditional, and he was incredibly proud of the family he built and the Stone name.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Stone; sons, Frog Stone and wife Christy, Jason Stone and fiancée Wendy; grandchildren, Colton Stone and wife Lauren, Austin Stone, Travis Stone and wife Alexandra, and Logan Stone and fiancée Megan; great-grandchildren, Madison and Delaney Stone.
Bob leaves behind a legacy the size of Texas and impacted many lives.
