Rocky Whitman, Sr., age 51, of Temple died Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 PM Saturday, November 1 at Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1911 W. Ave. H in Temple with Pastors June Roy Nugent and Richard Harbour officiating. Mr. Whitman was born October 9, 1957 in Pendleton, Oregon to Edward L. and Dollie (Holmes) Whitman. He was reared and educated in McGrew, Nebraska and was a former resident of Omaha. He had lived in the Temple area for the past year. Survivors include his parents of Temple, one son, Rocky Whitman, Jr. and one daughter, Barina Whitman both of Temple, five brothers, Chuck Whitman of Padroni, Colorado, Brad Whitman of Omaha, Nebraska, Stan Whitman of Temple, Danny Whitman of Peetz, Colorado, Troy Whitman of Belton and one sister, Tammy Kaulback of Wellington, Colorado.
