Rose Cartwright McReynolds

Rose Cartwright McReynolds, 91 of Temple died Friday February 13, 2009 in a Temple nursing center. Services for Mrs. McReynolds will be held at 10:00AM Monday February 16, 2009 at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple with Rev. Johnny Miller officiating; burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 6-7 PM Sunday February 15, 2009 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple. Mrs. McReynolds was born December 28, 1917 in Temple the daughter of Eugene and Elizabeth Lemmons Cartwright. She attended and graduated from Temple area schools. She married Edgar Leon "Mac" McReynolds in Temple in October 1946 he preceded her in death in February 2008. She was a life long resident of the Temple area except while she and her husband Major Edgar Leon "Mac" McReynolds were stationed at Ft. Chaffee, Arkansas and Ft. Wainwright, Alaska. She was a long time member of the Oak Park United Methodist Church in Temple. She was also preceded in death by a brother Lonnie Cartwright and by two sisters Mrs. Hester Lester and Mrs. Hattie Gauntt. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Oak Park United Methodist Church 5505 South 31st Street Temple, Texas 76502. Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of arrangements.
