Sandra moved to Temple, Texas, in 1947 and graduated from Temple High School in 1957. While attending Temple College, she worked for the Temple Daily Telegram. She then married Joe Przybylski, and the couple had four children. They divorced in 1969. Sandra later attended the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree.
Sandra devoted 22 years to educating young people with the Belton Independent School District before retiring in 1994. Teaching was an important part of her life, but her greatest joy was found in her family and the many wonderful memories they shared together.
Sandra married Bruce Normand in 1979. She loved to dance and especially enjoyed ballroom and country dancing. She was a member of two ballroom dancing clubs in Temple and treasured the friendships and good times that came with them. Above all, Sandra loved being surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce Normand; daughter, Karen Przybylski; sons, James Przybylski and wife Melissa of Moody, Joseph Przybylski and wife Brenda of Temple, and Terry Przybylski and partner Zeke Ramirez of Dallas; stepson, Brian Normand and wife Robin of Wylie; and stepdaughter, Kelly Fain of San Marcos. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to organizations supporting diabetes, cancer, or Alzheimer’s research and care.
