Sandra Marie Pascoe, lovingly known as Sandi, Gramma, and Meema, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2025 at the age of 82 in Temple, Texas. Born on March 16, 1943, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Sandi lived a life full of love, service, resilience, and joy.
A determined and accomplished woman, Sandi earned her associate degree in Marketing later in life after years of night school, and became the first female sales manager at Blackstone Industries. Her dedication to excellence, customer service, and building lasting relationships made her a standout in her field. Sandi’s work ethic and desire to keep learning never faded—she was still exploring topics like artificial intelligence in recent years.
Throughout her life, Sandi was a passionate community volunteer and leader. She taught Sunday School for over 15 years, led Cub Scout troops, and mentored high school students in civic engagement through the Teenage Political Society. She was active in the Republican Town Committee, her church communities in both Connecticut and Texas, and various charitable efforts.
In her later years, she and Ron moved to Texas full-time, where Sandi quickly became an integral part of the First Lutheran Church, the Temple Garden Club, and the Sammons pool community. Whether growing spider plants, organizing outreach for Feed My Sheep, or delivering baked goods to the VA, Sandi’s giving heart never rested.
She was also known for her joyful holiday spirit, legendary Christmas cookies, love for birds and squirrels, and her home that always welcomed friends and family—often with a full couch and a warm meal.
Sandi was a light to everyone who knew her. Her boundless kindness, infectious smile, and nurturing presence created a “safe space” wherever she went. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, strength, and service that will continue to inspire all who had the honor to know her. Sandi was preceded in death by her eldest son, Walter Clifton Pascoe; her parents, Katherine Mildred Hay and Clifton Avery Porter; and by her sisters, June Krewson, Catherine Dietz, and Carol Mikucionis.
Survivors include her loving husband of 64 years, Ronald Clarence Pascoe; her sons, Ronald Pascoe, Jr. and Daniel Pascoe of Southbury, Connecticut, and John Saundry and wife LeAnna of Palm City, Florida; a daughter, Dawn Owens and husband Danny of Belton; and eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to First Lutheran Church, Temple, Texas or St. James Lutheran Church, Southbury, Connecticut in her memory.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Thursday, July 31, 2025 First Lutheran Church of Temple with Rev. Janice Krause officiating. Another memorial service will be held in Southbury, Connecticut at a later date.
