He was born in San Ignacio, Villa Hidalgo, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to
Jose Silva and Anastasia Hernandez Silva.
He married Maria Margarita Romero on November 12, 1966.
Mr. Silva worked at American Desk, then went to work at Wilsonart. He retired from Wilsonart after 26 years working in the Phenolics department.
He was a hard worker and loved to be anyone’s handyman. In Santos’ life he never met a stranger. His response to anyone in need of help was ‘no problem’. He loved working on cars, roofs, plumbing, and electrical/yard work. He considered himself a “jack of all trades but a master of none”.
He was a dedicated member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and little brothers, Jose Tereso Silva, and Agustin Silva Sr.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Maria Margarita Silva of Temple, and two daughters, Maria Ramos and Felipe of Temple, and Teresa Guardiola and husband Ricky Guardiola of Temple. A sister Faustina Silva de Gonzales of San Ignacio, San Luis Potosi, Mexico. With five loving grandchildren Daniella Coffee, Miguel Angel Ramos Jr., Ricardo Guardiola Jr., Mariestela Ramos, and Mikayla Anastasia Guardiola.
Santos will be remembered by his selfless acts, and opening arms, and big spirits to the people he loved and cared for.
Visitation will be held at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home on Sunday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM with Rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Monday March 14, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with burial at Hillcrest Cemetery.
