
Funeral services for Shane Scott Black, 15, of Troy will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Temple Bible Church with Rev. Gary DeSalvo officiating. Burial will be in Bellwood Memorial Park. Mr. Black died Tuesday in Temple. Mr. Black was born in Temple October 1, 1996. He was to be a sophomore at Troy High School. He was active in Football and Track Events. He loved music. He lived in Troy all of his life and was a member of Temple Bible Church. This amazing young man had a smile forever on his face. He had a heart for the Lord and overflowing with compassion, especially for children, the less fortunate and animals. Shane had a passion for music and sports. He was soft hearted and kind to everyone. All of these qualities were immediately felt by, and transferred to, everyone in the room. His dad and two brothers lost their best friend. His mom and sister lost their "Pookie Bear". He is dearly loved and will be forever missed by all of his family and friends. Survivors include his father Scott Black of Troy; his mother Debbie Korenek Mays of Troy; one sister Alisha Slusher of Troy; two brothers Jett Black of Austin and Stryker Black of Troy; one step sister Erin Henderson of Troy; three step brothers Austin Mays of Troy, Brady Mays of Marble Falls and Rowdy Mays of Gatesville; his grandparents Bea and Frank Korenek of Rockdale and Naomi and Roger Black of Zabcikville and his great grandmother Elizabeth Ottmers of San Antonio. Memorials may be made to Temple Bible Church. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
