Memorial services for Shelly Easter, 35, of Temple will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Thursday at Temple Bible Church with Rev. Gary DeSalvo officiating. Mrs. Easter died Saturday in an automobile accident in Temple. When you think of Shelly, you immediately smile. She brought happiness, warmth, and comfort to everyone that she encountered. She was the most selfless person that was ever born. She loved her family. Her husband, Tim was the love of her life. She knew that she was to marry Tim before they really met. She told a friend one day, "I'm gonna marry him" when she saw Tim one day in town- her determination was inspiring. She said that Tim was the love of her life. Then she became a mother to Chesney McKenna-motherhood was another great accomplishment. She loved that baby to no end; she called her "monkey" from day one. She loved life. She took life by the horns and ran-she became a Certified Pedorthist and then decided to become a Certified Fitter of Orthotics. She loved her patients - she loved working with people and helping people; that's where she got the most satisfaction and fulfillment with her job. She became the Podiatry Clinic Manager at Scott and White Hospital. She put a lot of time and heart into being the manager and spent numerous of hours in preparing for the opening of the new clinic. She strived to make it the best clinic to provide care. Her family and friends played a great part of her life. Her laugh was contagious- you couldn't help but laugh when she did because of the little "snort" that she made. Shelly loved animals. She was a member of the Brussels Griffons Rescue group. She spent many an hours on the web inquiring about rescues and conditions of the "pups". She traveled many a mile to help these little guys. She couldn't help herself- she hated the thought of any of them suffering. She loved the Lord and relied heavily on prayer. She was taken from us in the blink of an eye and she will forever be missed and loved. There's no doubt that she is in Heaven right now and if she could she would take all of the sorrow and pain that each of us are feeling away. That's what she did, she was a protector and she loved everyone. How appropriate are the songs that she loved at this time of such grief and pain. "She will be loved" and never forgotten. She's now the "Keeper of the Stars", and will be keeping her eyes on us. We all enjoyed "Making Memories" with her. But mostly, when we remember Shelly- "She'll leave you with a Smile". Her life is a testament and we need to strive and grow to be the person that she was and that she wanted each of us to be- until the time that we see Shelly again. Mrs. Easter was born in Rosebud February 10, 1977 to Richard Janeke and Sherry Tobias Janeke. She graduated from High School and was attending Franklin University. She married Tim Easter in 1998. She moved to Temple, from Marlin, 16 years ago. She worked for Scott and White Hospital for 15 years and was currently the Podiatry Clinic Manager. She was a Certified Pedorthist and a Certified Orthotic Fitter. She was a member of Temple Bible Church.
