Steve P. Sindt

Steven P. Sindt, age 64 of Temple, died Monday, April 21, 2014 in a local hospital. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 26, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Holly Daniel officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Sindt was born on September 15, 1949 in Santa Fe, New Mexico to V. H. (Louie) Sindt and Marie Rael Sindt. He moved to Temple at an early age. He graduated from Temple High School in 1969. He married Beverly Kay Daniel on April 28, 1972. He worked for Sioux Bee Honey Association for 30 years. He was a member of Temple Bowlers Association over 40 years as a bowler and director. He was an avid motorcycle and roller hockey enthusiast and a lover of life and family. He was preceded in death by his mother. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Beverly K. Daniel Sindt of Temple, his father V. H. (Louie) Sindt of Temple, one son, Conan H. Sindt of Troy, one daughter, Talena Sindt Rodgers and husband, Joshua of Bruceville and three granddaughters, Destinye Davidson of Clovis, NM, Amaya Jayde Sindt-Rodgers and Erin Michelle Rodgers both of Bruceville. Also surviving are two sisters, Mary Lou Quinn and husband, Jerry of The Grove, Jo Ann Mullins and husband, Jerry of Temple and one brother, John Sindt of Dallas and numerous nieces, nephews and countless friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.
