Taylour Pechal, 18, of Temple, TX, passed away on June 30, 2024, as a result of a tragic car accident. Born on December 15, 2005 to Melissa White and Michael Pechal, Taylour brought joy and light into the world from the moment she arrived.
Taylour was a cherished daughter, sister, and friend who touched the lives of everyone she met with her boundless kindness and vibrant spirit. She recently graduated from Temple High School, where she excelled academically and was celebrated for her dedication to music and choir, as well as her enthusiasm and energy for softball and cheerleading.
Taylour planned to attend Blinn College in the fall and then transfer to Texas A&M, following in the footsteps of her mother and two aunts, along with her family’s love for the Aggies. She was eagerly looking forward to starting a new chapter in her life, embracing the opportunities and adventures that college would bring (including her first apartment with three of her closest friends)!
Taylour's infectious smile, warm heart, and genuine friendship made a lasting impression on all who knew her, and she didn’t care what you looked like or who you loved. Taylour's talent for creating beautiful and playful looks was admired by many, and her sense of style was truly unique. Her ability to brighten any room with her presence and her unwavering support for her friends and family will be dearly missed.
Taylour is joined in death by her best friend, Krisna Soto. Taylour leaves behind her loving parents, Melissa and Michael; her devoted brother, Carson; and her grandparents, Gary and Teresa White of Bryan, TX, Douglas Pechal of Bryan, TX, and Linda Lee, of Temple, TX; her father’s significant other, Cynthia Pawelek, along with many aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins. She is also mourned by her roommates Alyssa, Sadie, and Julia, extended family, so many wonderful friends and classmates, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home located in Temple, TX from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. A memorial service to celebrate Taylour's life will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Temple, TX. “Gather ye rose-buds while ye may,
Old Time is still a-flying;
And the same flower that smiles today
Tomorrow will be dying”
