Thomas M. Diaz

Thomas M. Diaz, age 79, of Temple passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at a local hospital. He was born on December 29, 1936 in Eddy, Texas the son of Cenobio and SanJuana Diaz. A visitation will be held on Friday, October 28, 2016 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home 3110 Airport Rd. Temple. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 10AM at the funeral home followed by burial at Belfalls Cemetery in Belfalls, Texas. Thomas worked for 45 years as a farmer for Hudgens Farm and has been a lifelong resident of the area. He is survived by his wife Julia Diaz of Temple, his sons Rudie Diaz and Tommy Diaz of Temple, a daughter Carmalita Diaz Lova of Temple, and his siblings David Diaz, Frank Diaz, Mingo Diaz, Jimmy Diaz, Steve Diaz, Pete Diaz, Manuel Diaz, Josefina Garcia, Mary Ann Sandoval, and Rosa Zungia. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Alfred Diaz, a sisters Regina Caldera and Micaela Camero and a brother Eli Day.
