Tommy Lynn Lane, 70, of Heidenheimer, died Monday at his residence. Visitation will be held 6:00-7:30 Tuesday July 10, 2012 at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Private burial will be at Cleveland Cemetery in Coleman County, Texas. Mr. Lane was born in Santa Anna, Texas to Norton Lane and Gwen Hodges Lane. He served in the U.S. Army. He moved to Temple in 1961 and to Heidenheimer in 1980. He married Edith Garrison in 1980 and she preceded him in death in 1997. Mr. Lane worked for Wilson Art from January, 1962 to February, 1983. He also operated Country Lane Nursery at Heidenheimer. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Buckholts. Survivors include two daughters Anna Dean of Virginia and Kim Grant of Temple; three stepdaughters Carol Priest of Morgans Point, Sandra Havins of Morgans Point and Jeany Westenkicher of Arlington; one stepson Vincent Kasa of Morgans Point; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Scanio-Harper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
