Tommy W. Hill

    Tommy Hill passed into the arms of God September 6, 2017, after a lengthy illness, at his home in Moffat, Texas.  He was surrounded by his loving family at the time of his passing.   Tommy entered into this life on March 10, 1946 in Davilla, Texas.  The son of Jyles & Olive LaNell Hill, he spent the majority of his life in Post, Texas where he met and married his wife of 51 years, Yvonne Moreland.  During his long career of 40 plus years in the oil producing industry, he retired as a superintendent of The George R. Brown Partnership in Post, TX in July, 2016.  Tommy & Yvonne loved to hunt and fish together as well as spending as much time as possible with family & friends.   Tommy is survived by his wife Yvonne, two children Michele McMullin and husband Craig of Sour Lake, TX, and Jyles Hill of Austin, TX; 2 grandchildren, Kelsey Hanks and husband Robert & Justin Fesco; as well as 3 great grandchildren Rowdy & Richlynn Hanks & Haizley Fesco all of Sour Lake, TX. He is also survived by his siblings, Jerry Hill of Green Bay, WI, Jimmy Hill of Temple, TX, Janie Luna of Bartlett, TX, Dickie Hill of Academy, TX, Debbie Hernandez & Ricky Hill of Temple, TX.   Visitation will be Friday, September 8th, 2017 from 6-8pm at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home Temple, TX.Funeral service will be Saturday, September 9th, 2017 at 11 am at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home Chapel in Temple, TX. Interment following services at Moffat Cemetery in Moffat, TX.   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital or a charity of your choice.
