

Funeral services for Victor L. Moon, Jr. 83, of Temple will be held at 2:30 P.M. Tuesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Milne officiating. Mr. Moon died Sunday at his residence. Mr., Moon was born in Findlay, Ohio to Victor L. Moon, Sr. and Jessie Esta Moon. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was awarded the Korean Service Medal with 6 Bronze Service Stars, Army Occupation Medal (Japan) and the UN Service Medal. He married Norma Hester Dec, 22, 1952. He worked as an electrician for Atlas Crankshaft in Fostoria, Ohio. He was a member of U.A.W. #336 Union. He was a member of an Archery Club, and avid fisherman, hunter and motorcycle enthusiast. He moved to Temple in 2004 and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Mr. Moon was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and a sister. Survivors include his wife Norma Moon of Temple; one son Larry Moon and his wife Debbie of Columbus, Georgia; one daughter Vickie Rayle and her husband Steve of Fostoria, Ohio; one brother Marion Moon of Tiffin, Ohio and two grandchildren Chad Moon and Chelsey Moon. Memorials may be made to Temple Humane Society, Scott and White Hospice or to Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund. Visitation will be from 1:30 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. Tuesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
