Virginia Kay Benjamin Sladovnik, age 59 of Temple, died Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at her residence. A private memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 30, 2012 at the Floca Memorial Pavillion of Hillcrest Cemetery with Chaplain Brent Eaton officiating. Her body was cremated. Kay was born on August 20, 1953 in Temple to Chesley and Virginia Benjamin. After graduating from Temple High School, she worked in Austin for the Texas Highway Department. She worked for the Bell County auditor's office for 20 years, retiring in 2010. Survivors include a daughter, Trish Sladovnik and a son, Mike Sladovnik of Temple; two sisters, Diane Gunn of Temple and Jerry Johnson of Holland; and one grandson.
