Virginia M. Ramos

Virginia M. Ramos, age 80, of Temple died Sunday, May 20, 2012 in a local hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 23, at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Ranjan Cletus as celebrant. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 - 7:00 PM Tuesday with a rosary recited at 7:00 PM at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Mrs. Ramos was born July 24, 1931 in Chriesman to Victor and Josefina Garcia Martinez. She married Matilde Ramos on July 11, 1957. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where she served on the Altar Society. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Matilde Ramos of Temple, three sons, John Ramos, Andy Ramos and Martin Ramos all of Temple, three daughters, Addy Weaver, Tina Houston both of Temple and Susan Baker of Raleigh, North Carolina and six grandchildren, Jordan, Colton, Tina, Eric, Madisyn and Anthony. Also surviving are two brothers, Bartolo Martinez of Seymour, Martin Martinez of Caldwell and two sisters, Placida Martinez and Apolonia Benavides both of Temple.
