Funeral services for Wayland Lee Lawler, 80, of Heidenheimer, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday December 6, 2006 at Heidenheimer Church of Christ with Jon Ernstberger officiating. Burial will be in Lawler Cemetery in Florence. Mr. Lawler died Monday at his residence. Mr. Lawler was born in Briggs to Lewis H. Lawler and Otheniel Buna Dixon Lawler. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. He married Reba Tipton January 25, 1947. He moved to Heidenheimer in 1962. He worked as Store Manager for Montgomery Ward in several towns, including Temple and worked in Management for Wilson Art retiring in 1978. He was active in the Square Dance Association in the Temple area. He was a member of Heidenheimer Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife Reba Lawler of Heidenheimer; two sons Dale Lawler and Gale Lawler both of Heidenheimer; one brother Wendell Lawler of Temple; one sister Wanda O'Connell of Van Vleck and three grandchildren. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Scanio Harper Funeral Home.
