My dad was one of Mr. Gandy's long time clients. I heard so many stories about him. He will be greatly missed.

Sincere condolences to the entire family. He was my barber when I got out of the military. My oldest son got his first haircut from Mr. Gandy. He was such a kind man and was always ready to hand out bubblegum or spring for a soda. RIP Mr. Gandy.

I knew Mr. Gandy for most of my life he gave me my first hair cut as a kid me and my dad would go to his barber shop every other week for our hair cut.  He was a great and very nice man we will miss him dearly.

Mr. Gandy was my barber, and my young sons barber for many years. He was authentic, kind, and more importantly, a gentleman. A trait that some, these days, simply don't understand. Always, a professional. Clean and pressed dress trousers and white dress shirt with a tie. Shined shoes. A work area that was immaculate.  He was not a man to "preach" at you. He didn't have to, he "lived it" each day. I have been fortunate in my life to met a few others like Mr. Gandy. For me, and my son's, thank you for sharing the gift of your Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather - Mr. Gandy.     -- J.C.

Truly one of the best, I shared so many conversations and laughs with this kind soul. You will be greatly missed by so many. Prayers and love to his family during this time of grief!

My sincerest condolences to the family, extended family and all loved ones of Mr.  Gandy, a gentleman and a top-tier master barber. I met this gentleman in 2005. He brought a smile with him everywhere he went. I even had the honor to trim his hair as I worked at a shop that was owned by a former business partner of his. Mr. Gandy insisted that I come by his shop so he could cut my hair in return.  Mr. Gandy gave me the most relaxing haircut I had ever experienced. I especially loved the massage at the end. Mr Gandy, you’ll be truly missed, but never forgotten.

So sad to hear a good man pass, he cut my hair from a toddler till about 14 years of age. Always gave me a free massage and bubblegum after EVERY cut.

I've heard stories all my life about Mr. Gandy. He played in a band with my Dad (William Warren) ; the writer of The Wildside of Life. Mr. Gandy gave my brother his first haircut and continued to cut it through the years.
