Alvin Foerch, 93, of Toms River, NJ passed away on Friday August 9, 2019 at his home while surrounded by his family. Born in Union City, NJ he lived for many years in Ridgefield Park, NJ before moving to Toms River in 1986. Alvin was a veteran of the US Army having served in World War II. He was formerly a distributor for the Archway Cookie Company. He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
Alvin was predeceased by his wife Angelina Mussara Foerch, his sister Lorraine Mandel and his two brothers Robert and Otto Foerch. He is survived by his daughter Carol Nelson and her husband Lance; his sister Kathleen Castanzo; two grandchildren Denise McCabe and Lance Nelson and five great-grandchildren, Tyler Nelson, Lance Nelson, Ryan McCabe, Evan McCabe and Brett Nelson.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday August 15, 2019 from 2 pm to 4 pm at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755 where a memorial service will be celebrated at 3:30 PM.
