Angelina, raised in an Italian American home in Newark, lived a loving, caring life. She and her husband Charlie shared a 60 year love story encompassing World War II, raising two children, sometimes working two jobs, and relocating to Florida as snow birds.
Angie realized her lifelong dream of becoming a hair dresser when at age 50 she got her GED and went to beauty school. Eventually she opened her own salon, and when she moved to Florida continued to work in a salon part time.
Summers were in New Jersey to spend time with family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren benefited from her joy, humor and wisdom. She went to and cheered at their shows, parades, games and meets when she could.
She is survived by her sister Theresa Emanuele, her daughters JoAnn Kraft, and Gerry Pizzi, her grandchildren Holly and Paul Adorno, Joe and Lara Kraft, and Lauren Clements, great grandchildren Juliana, Morgan, Jordan, Ryan and Maddie, and many nieces and nephews. Wherever she went she brought light and was loved by all. Her energetic spirit and inspiration will guide us forever. We pray she rests in peace with the Lord.
Because of her love of children the family requests donations in Angelina Solomita’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital stjude.org
A Mass will be celebrated on Monday August 1, 2022 12 pm at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Toms River. A Repast will follow at the Clarion Hotel.
