Anhder R. Dawson

Anhder was born in Rahway, NJ, and was a long time resident of Point Pleasant, NJ.

Anhder was preceded in death by his parents Maureen E. Owen and Anhder S. Dawson also his brother in laws Robert A. Dykeman Jr and George M. Szymeczek.

Anhder is survived by his son Anhder G. Dawson, his siblings: Kathleen Colwell-Dykeman, Michael Colwell (wife Jackie), James Colwell, Kelly Szymeczek his nieces and nephews Shane (wife Sara), Michael, Max, Julia, Brianna, Michael Jr., Emma, Taylor (husband Zack), Sarah, his great nephew Shane and great nieces Teagan, Kendal and many friends.

Anhder had a love for animals he worked for the Associated Humane Society in Newark, NJ, as a Veterinary Technician . He loved sports especially his favorite teams the Eagles, Yankees, Celtics and Michigan. He loved the ocean, he enjoyed camping, doing puzzles, cooking and sci fi books.

He was a master of many trades and will be remembered for his big personality, humor and his beautiful blue eyes.

He will be dearly missed by many.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 087555028, US, on September 11, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
