Anne L. Christianson, 95, of Holiday City Carefree in Berkeley Twp., passed away peacefully on Thursday May 16, 2019. Born in Jersey City, she was a lifelong resident there until moving to Toms River 24 years ago. Anne worked for the Federal Shipyard in Kearny, NJ during WW II. She was a bookkeeper at Modern Plumbing Co. in Jersey City for over 20 years. She was very active in the Holiday City Carefree Clubhouse.
Anne was predeceased by her parents Edward and Anna McDonnell, her husband of 67 years, Oscar, her brother William McDonnell and her sister Helen McGinnis. She is survived by her beloved son, Charles E. Christianson and his wife Maureen of Sea Girt, NJ; her loving daughter JoAnn C. Mastrogiovanni and her husband James of Secaucus; her four beloved grandchildren, Katrina, Erik, Jaime Ann and Cheryl; her six loving great-grandchildren, Bryce, Cheyne, Gannon, Declan, Brian and Charlie and her sister-in-law Gloria Christianson.
Visiting hours will be from 4-8 PM on Monday May 20, 2019 at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery.
