Anne Marie Yates

Anne Marie Yates, 91, of Toms River passed away peacefully on Monday, February 6, 2023 at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ. Born to the late William and Evelyn (nee Meehan) Gallagher both from County Fermanagh, Ireland, Anne attended school and was married in Newark. She and her husband raised their family in North Arlington before moving to Toms River 28 years ago. Anne was a Purchasing Agent for Congoleum Corp., Kearny. After Congoleum closed the Kearny offices, she worked as a secretary for the law firm of Koch, Koch, and Bennett.

Anne enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling to other countries and states with her husband, doing jigsaw puzzles, and reading.

Anne was predeceased by a son William, brothers Thomas, John, and William Gallagher and a sister, Evelyn French. She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years Robert D. and her children, Robin (Steven) and Robert (Lynn), daughter-in-law Helen, grandchildren Alicia (Shaun), Steven, Kimberly, Kelly, Victoria, Alexandra (Alan), William, and Kaitlyn, a great granddaughter Charlotte, and many nieces and nephews. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by family and friends.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and Monday, February 13, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Rd., Toms River. A funeral service will begin promptly at 3:30 PM on Sunday. Interment will be held on Monday, February 13, 2023 1:30 PM at the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
