Anthony Joseph Albano, 97, of Toms River, passed away on March 24, 2018 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. Anthony was born in Newark, NJ to the late Jack and Theresa Albano. He proudly served his country in WW II in the Army Branch of the Military Police. He was a member of the Hydra Men’s Club of Newark. He was also a machinist for the Bendix Corporation and was involved in preparing the guidance system for the Apollo Moon Missions.
Anthony was predeceased in death by his parents, his sister Mary, and his beloved wife, Laura. He is survived by his loving sons Gregory and his wife Donna, and Glenn, and his wife JoAnne; his grandchildren, Corey, Kristen, Gregg and wife Sabrina, Kathleen and husband Matthew, and Heather and husband John; great-grandchildren Isabella, Capri, Skyler, and Vittoria.
Anthony was an avid bowler and a skilled chess player. He will be remembered for his love of family, his strong work ethic, and his generous and giving nature.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday March 27, 2018 from 5 to 8 PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday March 28, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Toms River, NJ. Family and friends are asked to please meet at church as there will not be any visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday morning.
