Arnold L. Memoli

Arnold was born on December 30th, 1926, in Newark New Jersey to Gennaro and Filomena Memoli of Chaua Di Tiarni Italy. He had a brother, Steve Memoli, and three sisters Mary Cafro, Anne Vuno and Nancy Memoli who are all deceased. He finished High school and enlisted into World War II under the US Navy Academy at the age of 17. He served on the USS DESTROYER ROSS which campaigned in the Pacific seas during the war along with being in Tokyo Bay during the signing of the WW II treaty. After coming home from war, Arnold worked for Anheuser-Bush Inc for 40 years until his retirement.

After living in Newark, Arnold and Helen moved to Watchung New Jersey in the early 60’s. He built his home in the sprawling mountains of Watchung before he eventually moved to Toms River for retirement.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Helen Husar Memoli and their six sons, Dr. Philip Memoli of Green Brook, Neal Memoli of Warren, John and Corazon of Youngsville of North Carolina, Jerry and Maria Memoli of Tewksbury, Mike and Teresa Memoli of Hampstead North Carolina and Brian and Kim Memoli of Toms River.

Arnold is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Alexa, Abby, Olivia, Andrew, Jessica, Jack, Philip Jr, James, Taylor, Jake, Marisa, and Juliana and two great grandchildren Collins and Jolee.

Visitation will be from 8:45 am to 9:45 am on Monday April 28, 2025. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am @ St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church 130 St. Maximilian Lane Toms River,NJ 08757.
