Barbara Carol Jones, 66, died May 10, 2026. Born April 4, 1960, at Jamaica Hospital in New York, Barbara was the daughter of the late Helen and Henry Dube. She was a resident of Toms River, New Jersey.
Barbara grew up in Queen before marrying and moving to Florida. She later returned to New York to raise her family until 1990, when she moved to New Jersey. Throughout her life, she was deeply devoted to those she loved, and she carried herself with a steady, hard-working spirit that could be felt in both the responsibilities she shouldered and the care she gave so freely.
Barbara worked as a phlebotomist with Quest Diagnostics in New Jersey, a role that reflected her diligence and her commitment to serving others with quiet reliability.
In 1976, Barbara married the love of her life, Patrick. She was a beloved wife and mother, and her devotion was evident in the life she built with her family. She is survived by her husband Patrick, her two children: her daughter, Lisa Balitzki and her husband Emil, and her son, Patrick Jones Jr. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Desmond Jones, Hayden Balitzki, and Emil Balitzki Jr.
Barbara is also survived by her siblings, Alice Perez, Phyllis Dube, Kenneth Dube, and Edward Dube, as well as a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Barbara loved to cook, bake, and—most importantly—take care of her loving husband, offering daily acts of service that spoke to the depth of her devotion and the warmth she brought to her home.
Cremation will be private.
