Brian Joseph Fort

Brian Joseph Fort, a cherished and beloved young man, passed away on December 21, 2025, at the age of 20. Born on April 22, 2005, in Leighton, Pennsylvania, Brian grew up in South Toms River, New Jersey, where he became known for his adventurous spirit, hard-working nature, and kind-hearted demeanor.

Brian was a forklift operator with Red Drum in South Toms River. His dedication to his work was matched only by his loyalty to those around him.

He is survived by his loving parents, his mama, Cathi Saavedra, and his father, John Fort Sr. Brian also leaves behind his six siblings: Alex Saavedra, Cecilia Fort, John Fort Jr., Jason Fort, Robert Fort, and Katherine James (Kyle). His nephew, Josiah Fort, his niece, Mila James, his Aunt Elena and Uncle Kirk, and his girlfriend, Samantha Velez, also mourn his loss. Additionally, Brian is survived by a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.

In his personal life, Brian enjoyed playing and watching baseball, going to the gym, spending time with friends, dancing, music, gaming, and always dressing to impress. He was known for his resilience and humor, often lighting up any room he entered with his presence and jokes.

Brian was a loyal friend to many, always ready to lend a helping hand or provide a listening ear. His legacy of kindness and humor will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

A Visitation for Brian will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Calvary Lighthouse Church, 1133 East County Line Road, Lakewood, NJ 08701. A Funeral Mass will begin promptly at 11:00 am. Cremation will be private.
