Carmelo Amatore, 88, of Wilmington, DE passed away on Saturday November 23rd, 2013. Born in NYC, he resided in Brooklyn and later moved to Toms River in 1986. Carmelo was a World War II Coast Guard Veteran who served on the USS Kirkpatrick, member of the VFW Post 10185 of Berkeley Township and member of the Columbia Association of the U.S. Post Office. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service until he retired in 1987. Surviving are his loving wife of 63 years Cynthia, daughters JoLinda DiSanto of Garnet Valley, PA, Debbie Amatore of Tinton Falls, NJ and Colette and husband Cosmo Veneziale of Garden City, NY; grandchildren Lisa and husband Anthony Faline of Wilmington, DE, Christopher and wife Lavinia DiSanto of Newark, DE, Julie and husband Ted Ballance of Wilmington, DE, Dan and wife Danielle Notarmuzi of Piscataway, NJ, Christina Notarmuzi of Los Angeles, CA, Marcella Veneziale of Garden City, NY and Cosmo Veneziale Jr. of Garden City, NY and great grandchildren Emily, Sophia, Jacob, Nicholas and soon to be Ballance Twins. Visitation will be Tuesday November 26th, 2013 from 4-8pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. A Funeral Service will be offered at 11am at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home on Wednesday November 27th, 2013. Mausoleum entombment will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park in Toms River.
