Ceil Gerba

Ceil Gerba, 97, of Toms River passed away on Tuesday November 27th, 2012 at Whiting Health Care. Born in South Amboy, she resided in Bound Brook and Edison prior to moving to Toms River in 1986. Ceil was a Legion of Mary member and Eucharistic Minister at St. Josephs’ and communicant of St. Maximilian Kolbe R.C. Church in Toms River. She worked for Macy’s at the Menlo Park Mall in Edison for many years. She was predeceased by her husband George in 1986, brothers John and Frank Gendlek and sisters Mary Midura and Theresa Nebus. Surviving are her daughter Arlene and Gilbert Schiavino of Whiting, son Ronald and Dolores Gerba of Edison, sister-in-laws Marion Gendlek of Old Bridge and Katherine Gerba of Edison, 6 grandchildren Jeffrey and Katherine Schiavino, Jody and George Rebuck, Gary and Shannon Schiavino, Todd and Karleen Gerba, Scott Gerba and Jason Gerba, 7 great grandchildren Michael Yenko, Brandon Rebuck, Connor Rebuck, Alexandra Schiavino, Christopher Schiavino, Zachary Rebuck and Kate Schiavino and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday November 30th, 2012 from 3-7pm at the Quinn Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday December 1st, 2012 at 10am at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church in Toms River. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
