
Charles M. Clancy 96, of Toms River passed away on Friday October 17, 2014. Born and raised in Oswego, NY and he resided in Livingston, NJ prior to retiring in Toms River. He graduated from Villanova University in June 1941where he played football for four years. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary “Dolores” Clancy, his two Daughters, Dr. Lisa Clancy-Vieira of Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ and Sheila Clancy of London, England, his son-in-law Joseph Vieira and his two grandchildren Kayla Vieira and Joey Vieira. Charles (Chuck) watched college football and pro football every weekend and would spend the following week discussing the games. He loved to tell stories about his Football days at Villanova and his experiences while serving in the Army in World War II under General Patton. Visitation will be Friday October 24th, 2014 from 9:30am to 10:30am at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday October24th, 2014 at 11am at St. Johns Roman Catholic Church, 619 Chestnut St. Lakehurst, NJ.
