

Born in Englewood, New Jersey, to Emma and James Thomas, he was the second child of seven. At the age of 17, Chuck served his country in the United States Marine Corps.
As a career Contractor carpenter and roofer,
he left his mark on countless homes and buildings throughout the communities. And later in his life, he also worked for Costco in the various departments.
A longtime resident of Brick and Wall, Chuck was known for his strong work ethic, generosity,
kindness, and unwavering dedication to family. He enjoyed camping, biking, playing the drums, scuba diving, and sharing stories with friends and loved ones.
Everywhere he went, he seemed to know someone, and nearly every road held a story about a home he had worked on or a memory he was eager to share.
Chuck is survived by his beloved partner, Meg of 23 years and their children Emma and William.
He is also survived by his children Charles Jr., Justin, Amanda and Aimee with whom he had with Sarah in an earlier relationship.
Chuck’s brothers, Llewelyn and
James; his sisters, Laura, Rebecca, and Elizabeth; his grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended
family members, and dear friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Emma & James Thomas, daughter, Brandi; his sister, Margaret & her husband Greg; and his niece, Megan.
Chuck will be remembered as a hardworking, resilient, and loving man who always put others before himself. He was a devoted partner, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose
presence touched countless lives.
He will be surely missed by all.
Visitation will be held at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755 on Thursday June 18, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Martha Roman Catholic Church, 3800 Herbertsville Rd, Point Pleasant, NJ 08742 on Friday June 19, 2026 at 11:00 am.
Burial will take place at Saint Annes Cemetery, 1610 Allenwood Rd, Wall Township, NJ 07719 on Friday June 19, 2026 at 12:30 pm.
