Corrado DeTrizio, age 89, died on September 26, 2021 at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune NJ. He was born in Molfetta, Italy, in 1931 and lived in Weehawken for most of his life. Corrado immigrated to the U.S. as a young teenager working as a longshoreman on the docks in Hoboken and Jersey City. He later became a carpenter and retired from Carpenters Local 6 in North Bergen, NJ. A resident of Holiday Heights, Toms River, Corrado and his wife Gail enjoyed home projects, gardening, spending time with friends and family, and cruising the world.
Corrado is survived by his wife, Gail Griffin, his loving children Frank (Heather) and Maryann, his stepchildren Mark (Eva), Kate (Keith), Dave (Maria), his grandchildren Nicholas, Ramon, Sophie, AJ, Michelle, Brooke, Amy and Brody, and his great grandchildren Jahsiah, Joshua, Angelica, and Dhaliyah.
He is also survived by his sister Vincenza and brothers Leo and Frank. Corrado was predeceased by his son Mario and his brother Michele.
A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church 130 St. Maximilian Lane Toms River, NJ 08757 on Friday October 1, 2021 at 12:00 pm.
