

Daniel Sannik, 88, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on Thursday Sept 27th at Meridian Nursing and Rehab Center in Brick, NJ. Born in Paterson, NJ, he raised his family in Wayne before retiring to Toms River. He retired in 1986 after 39 years as a division line supervisor with P.S.E.&G. in Clifton, NJ. He was a US Veteran of the Coast Guard having served with the Merchant Marine Seabees during WW II. He was an avid golfer and one of the originators of the Silver Ridge Golf Association. He enjoyed cruises and vacationing in Florida.
Daniel was predeceased by his wife Jane Marie Mooney Sannik in 1999, daughter Kathleen Sannik in 1973 and sister Olga Dworakowski in 1998. He is survived by two sons, John and his wife Gail of Totowa and Daniel and his wife Lois of Pompton Lakes, NJ, his daughter Mary Jane Somosky and her husband Richard of Beachwood; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and his dear friend Mary Hodum.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday October 1st from 2-6 PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 5 PM. Interment will take place on Tuesday Oct 2nd at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa, NJ.
