Born in Newark to the late Thomas and Elda Maglione, Dennis was raised in Bloomfield, NJ. He earned his Associates degree in Automotive Technology from Voorhees Tech in New York City, a foundation that reflected his hard-working spirit and set the course for a life defined by steady dedication and skill.
During the Vietnam War, Dennis was a member of the National Guard and proudly served his country for six years. He went on to spend 18 years as an Automotive Mechanic, bringing care and precision to work that demanded both patience and expertise. After his time as a mechanic, Dennis became a self employed General Contractor until his retirement in 2006—years marked by devotion to providing, building, and doing things the right way.
Dennis was married to the love of his life, Carol, for 55 years. He is also survived by his two loving children; Vincent and his wife Vivian and Susan Paz and her husband Mario, and his three grandchildren; Gabriel, Gianna, and Alexis. He was predeceased by his brother, Stephen Maglione. Dennis is also survived by his sister Michelle Maglione, and his niece and nephews. In the lives of those who knew him best, Dennis was deeply beloved—someone whose devotion was felt in the constancy of his presence and the strength of his care.
An avid fisherman and lure builder, Dennis was famous for his DMag Lures. He was also a member of the Berkeley Stripers Club, where his love of the Jersey shore and the craft of fishing found a natural home among others who shared his passion.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
