Eleanor Haese

Eleanor Haese, 98 of Toms River, passed away on Sunday April 19, 2026 at Complete Care at Holiday City. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and grew up in Bloomfield before relocating to Toms River, NJ. Eleanor had worked for Bell Telephone for most of her life until her retirement.

Eleanor was and active sports woman having received an award in Archery as the best archer in NJ. She loved playing tennis, skiing in the Alps, white water rafting and camping. After retirement she traveled around the world, took cruises and spent a lot of time in Arizona with her deceased daughter Christine Haese.

Eleanor was predeceased by her parents Martha and Carl Rathgeber; her daughter Christine Haese and her sisters Loretta Bishop and Charlotte Humphreys.

She is survived by her daughter Sharon Haese Goodman, nieces Suzanne Viohl and Alicia Levesque; nephews David Bishop and Dr. Christopher Humphreys and also many other cousins in Germany.

A visitation will be held on Friday April 24, 2026 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am.
