Eleanor, the youngest of nine siblings, graduated from McKee High School, before going to work for the foreign office at Macy’s. She was active in the Staats Post drum corps and the USO, before marrying Charles Ingulli, a lieutenant in the NYPD who headed the District Attorney’s detective squad on Staten Island before retiring. In 1985, Eleanor and Charles moved to Toms River New Jersey. Throughout her life. Eleanor was known for keeping friends and family connected, organizing McKee high school reunions, army-reunions, and regular family get-togethers. She loved to bake, sew, and travel.
Eleanor is survived by her three children and their spouses: Elaine Ingulli and Brian Ackerman of Woodbury, New Jersey; Robert and Kathy Ingulli of Clarkdale, Arizona, and Diane Ingulli and Gray McCord of Georgetown Texas; by two grandchildren, Aleia McCord (Mathew Hutchison) of Madison Wisconsin, and Ashleigh McCord of Olympia, Washington; and two great grandchildren, Charles and Maeve Hutchison.
There will be a viewing at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Parlor in Toms River, New Jersey on Sunday, October 15, from 3pm-5pm; a funeral mass at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church in Toms River at 11:30 on Monday, October 16, followed by a burial at the veterans cemetery in Wrightstown New Jersey. The family requests that donations be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
