

Born in Newark, she resided in Irvington before settling in the Holiday City community of Toms River in 1977.
Prior to retiring, she was a hairdresser and worked at various places in Newark and Brick. Elizabeth was a member of the Irvington Fire Department's Fire Bells and was an active member of Pinelands Reformed Church of Toms River. She also enjoyed Atlantic City and gambling with her girlfriends.
Elizabeth was a kind, generous, and selfless angel. She lived a full life and had an abundance of friends, her family meant everything to her. The Murray matriarch, she was the head of the family and was truly "one in a trillion."
She was predeceased by her husband Gordon in 1989, who she met at the age of 15 and was her first and only love; and by her six brothers and sisters.
Surviving are her sons: Gordon Murray and his wife Barbara, and Kenneth Murray and his wife Kara; six grandchildren: Erin (Reno), Taylor, Cori (Michael), Briana, Mackenzie, and Jillian; 3 great-grandchildren: Evangelina, Giovanna, and Isabella; many nieces and nephews; and her loving and faithful caregiver of nine years, Lali.
A visitation will be held at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ on Friday, September 10, 2021 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Interment will immediately follow at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown.
